Dot Walker
Dot Walker has drawn and painted since early childhood, and continued to do so during her initial career in A&E nursing, travelling extensively and using both skills in tandem.
For over 20 years she has focused exclusively on art, studying in Glasgow then Sydney, Australia. She then spent a couple of years living and painting in rural Nepal before returning to her native Scotland and settling in the Highlands to paint and raise her family. She is inspired by the weather and ever changing light of the Highlands, and uses a vivid palette and range of media to describe the atmosphere of the great outdoors in all seasons. She exhibits in many galleries around Scotland and in private collections around the world.
