Helen Welsh

Living in rural Coupar Angus and surrounded by the beautiful Perthshire landscape, Helen Welsh gained great pleasure from the everyday things in the Scottish countryside. With her paintbrush she skillfully captured the light and movement of the varied subjects she encountered, whether it be an unsuspecting deer or hedgerow flowers floating on the breeze.

In 1973 she moved to Tayside from her native Aberdeenshire home, where she lived on the family farm, to start her career in illustration. She worked full time as an illustrator until 2010 and then went freelance.

Helen successfully exhibited her artwork in various galleries throughout Scotland since 1987, selling to both home and abroad.
