James Potter

James lives in Edinburgh and loves to travel around Scotland with his wife to capture the wonderful land and seascape for his paintings. He enjoys the West coast, particularly Iona, with its emerald seas and white sands.

James paints in oils with expressive and lively paint brush marks and textures. He makes all of his own frames using the traditional water gilding techniques and 23ct gold, with interesting paint effects to compliment the painting.

James is also a Royal portrait painter and official war artist.
