Jennifer Reid

Jennifer Reid is an artist living and working in Newburgh, Fife, beside the Tay Estuary. She has had a love of art for as long as she can remember and after working in health care and education and bringing up a family, she rekindled that love and opened her studio, Guthrie Studio in 2007.

Inspired by the beauty of her surroundings, her paintings are influenced by the ever-changing Tay, the fertile fields, and the wealth of wildlife in the local countryside.

Using a complementary and harmonising colour palette, her pieces boast thick layers of overlapping paint producing richly textured and impressionistic paintings.

Jennifer’s paintings are held in many private collections throughout the world and have also been purchased for public buildings.
