Louise MacDonald

Louise grew up near Glasgow and spent many holidays on the West Coast of Scotland. She studied Art and Teaching at degree level in Cheltenham. During her art training, she specialised in ceramics, textiles and printing. Louise particularly likes working with oil paints to create a strong atmosphere and Rich texture in her work.

Her artworks in oil and acrylic capture the changing light on the West Coast. She enjoys kayaking and Hill walking and her finished work is inspired by her sketches outdoors and in all the elements. Now based in Aberfeldy, she has exhibited and sold her work in galleries in Golspie, Edinburgh and Aberfeldy.
