Suzanne graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1988 with a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Painting. She has been painting on and off ever since from an Edinburgh based studio and has exhibited with various Galleries across Scotland.
Since 2016 she has had more time to spend on her work and in 2019 took a course in Imaginative Composition that led to her developing a new way of working with Acrylic paints. This, combined with her continued use of bold colour, has led to a more vibrant and expressive way of painting.
Her style of painting remains representative but there is now a new playfulness and a new interest in capturing the Scottish landscape, real and imagined. She is very much influenced by Scottish Artists from the 19th and 20th centuries, while seeking to maintain a contemporary element that reflects her story.
